Whatever you focus on becomes your reality. That’s why we need to be intentional with what we’re focusing on.
Is Being Broke True For You?
So if you’re in the habit of saying and believing stuff like “I’m always broke” then you will always be broke.
If instead you say “I’m prosperous and wealthy”, then prosperity and wealth is what you will attract.
Grow Rich While You Sleep
When I was about 10 or 11 years old I read through a book belonging to my mum, called “Grow Rich While You Sleep” by Ben Sweetland.
This was my first encounter with what is commonly now known as the Law of Attraction.
(I’m not sure whether my mum entirely understood what the book was about before she bought it)!
Biblical Principle
This comes from a Biblical principle.
Mark 11:24 says “Whatsoever things you desire, when you pray believe you receive them and you shall have them. (KJV).
Just before that Jesus says in Mark 11:23 that we can move mountains by telling them to move and believing they will.
The point is this is not a new concept but an eternal one. It’s the way we are wired.
God spoke the universe into existence just by believing His own words.
Likewise, whatever we speak and believe becomes true for us.
Choose Your Reality Wisely
The good news is that we have a choice. Just because something is true for you doesn’t mean it’s the truth.
Your reality might be one thing because it’s what you believe it should be. In effect you’re really living a lie, to put it bluntly.
Only when you know the truth can it set you free!
Is Internal Peace True For You?
If you’re looking to live your best life (and who isn’t?!) then a sure fire way you can tell if that’s what it is, or at least very close, is if it comes with internal peace.
If real peace isn’t part of the package then it’s either a counterfeit or you’re just plain lying to yourself.
True Versus False Peace
Real foundational peace won’t involve fear, confusion, resentment, doubt or uncertainty.
Yes we’ve all experienced all of the above, even when happy and settled in our lives.
Your best life will overcome them all, whereas the counterfeit will mean they are there continually.
That’s not to say that we shouldn’t maintain a positive attitude while progressing into our ideal life.
Don’t let anyone tell you what your best life should be!
Due diligence is key. Make informed decisions.
What do you desire? Are you really and truly at peace with your decision? Deep down?
Be honest with yourself.
So What Are You Thinking About?
Because whatever it is will determine your mood.
While it’s easy for someone to say to stay positive, I know it can be very difficult to accomplish sometimes.
During times of chaos and challenges, it can be hard to look for the good side of things.
Nonetheless, having a positive mental attitude that encourages you to expect favourable results in your life is crucial.
Rehearsing Positive Thinking
Positive thinking will allow you to be a happier, healthier, and more productive version of your current self.
Even if your level of optimism is not very high, it can still help you attain your goals and objectives.
Positive thinking is a process that you have to learn and practice in your day-to-day life.
It can help you become empowered to increase your levels of satisfaction and happiness throughout all areas of your life.
Positive thinking can also help you become more successful in your life and reach your goals.
Strive to reach your goals so that you can have the life you have always wanted.
Therefore think about lovely things. (Philippians 4:8)
Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough!
Changing your mindset and learning to become a positive thinker can help you become more successful, and ultimately allow you to become a happier person.
If you tend to have a negative outlook, don’t be discouraged if it takes time to change.
It will take a lot of practice, but is something that everyone with the right determination can achieve.
Living Care Free
I was just remembering the times when as a child my best friend and I would visit the local lido (long since closed) in the forest.
We would wade and float through what seemed like a beautiful sea of green in a mini paradise.
Many times it was just the two of us for some reason. We had not a care in the world during those times!
It was so peaceful.
Of course, that doesn’t mean our problems vanish just by thinking of something else, but… in a way they actually do.
At least for the duration we’re not worrying about them. What you believe is true…
Think About What You’re Thinking About
Think about it (!)
Worry, anxiety and stress don’t actually solve anything.
We need to “think about what we’re thinking about”. What do you want to be true for you?
